Zev Berkowitz is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing online therapy to Children, individuals, couples, and families in New York, New Jersey, Virginia, DC, Connecticut, Florida, Massachusetts Maryland, Colorado, California and Washington. His practice focuses on relationship challenges, particularly when the relationship has been impacted by communication issues, behavioral addictions, or breaches of trust. He works with both couples and individuals who find painful experiences of the past or current symptoms of anxiety, depression, and maladaptive coping are holding them back from the authentic relationships they desire.
Zev’s goal is to help clients feel more connected, heard, and seen. He has unique expertise in supporting clients who struggle with behavioral addiction, including sex addiction, helping them to recognize how their current behaviors are rooted in the past and increasing their ability to sit with negative emotions and choose more productive ways to cope. When working with couples and families, Zev offers a safe, neutral environment where all voices can be heard. He carefully supports clients to sort through complicated relationship dynamics, heal old wounds, and communicate with greater mutual understanding.
Zev’s style is active, goal-oriented, and collaborative. Throughout therapy, he frequently checks in with clients to ensure the skills you practice in session are transferable to the real world, and that you see real progress towards treatment goals. Zev is excited to welcome new clients for both short-term, solution-focused therapy, and longer-term, healing care.
