It is important to find the therapist that feels like the right fit. We come with different personalities, ideas and tools about how to be helpful. My passion for working as a counselor is to help you live life from your solid and centered self.
As I hear your story, we identify your gifts/resources, find obstacles that keep you stuck and work together to release them. Sometimes that means being focused on your outer world and environment. Other times, it means turning inward to discover and let go whatever is keeping you blocked.
I believe life is meant to be experienced, enjoyed and have purpose. You are a unique individual and deserve an approach that is customized to fit your needs (no one-size-fits all). We are all much more than any label or diagnosis. Guiding me in my work as a counselor is a passion for helping people to find their voice, to feel more awake, alive and empowered.

We believe that every person deserves the right to feel fulfilled, purposeful, and happy. We want to make sure you are heard, and validated. It is our belief and mission to uncover your true potential and lead a life worth celebrating. While we can't change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve past, present, and future challenges in your life.
Often times our lives are so busy we forget to take care of ourselves. Therapy can be an opportunity for self-discovery, self-care, growth and change. We offer a safe environment to listen, reflect, and create both short and long term goals to help cope, and find balance in your life.

I try to be really respectful of people. It’s no small thing to come into therapy, nobody ever comes into therapy on their best day, its often their worst. I really try to keep that in mind. I really try to meet people where they’re at. I want to help people get the most out of their lives.

Liveliness, warmth and connection are the ground for my practice, where I focus on you and your passions and commitments in life, the places you are stuck or feel vulnerable, and the hopes and capacities that you bring to difficulties in your life. I love the work I've done for the past 30+ years, consulting with a wide variety of individuals and couples, artists and performers, and parents of young children through adolescents.
Individuals and couples can expect careful and collaborative listening, and an appreciation of context, culture and meaning.
Couples often experience relief when they are able to utilize a safe and calmer context for difficult conversations. With appreciation for each person's story, I help couples move from blame towards compassion and understanding. Often, these conversations can bring new energy and closeness to couples, and help each partner to clarify new directions for growth.

Bring your whole self to therapy, the parts you let others see, those you don’t and those you may not even be aware of. Through a highly individualized approach, I'm committed to creating a safe space, free of judgment, where you feel seen, listened to and understood; empowered to move forward as you want. Recognizing and building on your strengths and interests to get you where you want to go, feel better about yourself and find your place in the world will be at the heart of our work. Noticing barriers, working with them or moving past them will become possible as you feel stronger, more grounded and equipped with coping and stress management skills.
Using a primarily cognitive approach, I incorporate practical coaching support, leaving space to touch on deeper, existential questions while addressing some of the following concerns: anxiety, depression, executive functioning, understanding and management of sensory sensitivities, social communication skills to negotiate friendships, intimate relationships, school, employment and independent life.
Education about autism and gender, as needed, for individuals and/or parents is often incorporated into the session in an effort to increase self-awareness and enable self-advocacy.
I welcome collaboration with schools and other providers to offer the comprehensive support that is often needed.
It is my privilege to be witness to clients' most private stories and struggles and to celebrate accomplishments of all sizes. I am amazed at the strength and vulnerability that exist in all of us and deeply believe in the power of relationship and connection to hold, support, heal and grow.

Hi, thanks so much for taking an interest in my practice. It takes great courage and awareness to make the decision to reach out for support. Many of us have times in our lives when we find ourselves held back by the 'silent conversation' that we have with ourselves throughout the day. By understanding the origins of this self talk and how it influences our thoughts, feelings, and actions, it is possible to adapt it to feel a greater sense of empowerment, agency, motivation, and peace in life.
My background includes nearly 20 years in clinical health care, school, and community settings working therapeutically with individuals, couples, and groups on a wide-range of issues causing acute and chronic distress. I look forward to hearing from you to answer any questions you might have.

Growing up and parenting, even under the best circumstances, are full of challenges. When you or your child is struggling, it makes each of those challenges even more difficult. I specialize in helping adults and children navigate these difficult times whether they are brought on by life stressors, grief, behavior patterns, or illness. I work with individuals and their families to evaluate their circumstances, to provide personalized recommendations, and to address their concerns so that they may return to a more comfortable, peaceful way of life.
If you are seeking parent guidance, individual therapy for an adult or child, CBT, or family therapy, please call to discuss how we can work together to reach your short or long-term goals. In my private practice, I offer therapy services or therapy plus medication management services.
In addition to my private practice, I work at a local hospital offering psychiatric evaluations and thoughtful medication management for children and adolescents. I also provide guidance to parents with serious medical problems about how to help their children while the parent is ill or receiving treatment.

Society is filled with messages about how our lives should look and feel, and when we fall short we often blame ourselves, leading to sadness and despair. I work with clients to uncover their own strengths, and to regain power over the areas of life that feel overwhelming or out of control. My approach to treatment is evidence-based while being affirming and non-stigmatizing. I work with clients to uncover their own strengths, and to regain power over the areas of life that feel overwhelming or out of control. My energy is warm and friendly, and past clients have appreciated the chance to explore difficult content in a non-judgmental environment.
