Description
Parenting from the Inside Out is a 12-week virtual skills group open to all parents who want to understand the patterns driving their reactions at home. If you find yourself snapping, shutting down, or responding in ways that surprise you — and you sense your own history is part of it — this group offers a space to slow down, look inward, and begin making real change. It's designed for parents who are ready to do proactive, reflective work, not just manage the surface.
Each week, we'll use Internal Family Systems (IFS) alongside psychodynamic reflection and body-based awareness to explore the parts of you that show up in your hardest parenting moments — where they came from and how to shift them. Sessions are virtual, experiential, and held within a small group of parents doing the same honest work. Before joining, each member completes a brief 15-minute call and an intake formal intake session to make sure the group is the right fit for where you are right now.
This group is facilitated by me, Jamie Albert, a licensed clinician with advanced training in IFS, IFIO, and perinatal and maternal mental health. I bring warmth, curiosity, and deep clinical experience to every session — and have supported countless parents in understanding how their own histories shape the way they show up for their children.
