What services does your practice offer?

We offer individual, couples, and family therapy for individuals interested in braving conversations that can initate the changes they want to make to their lives.

How does payment work at your practice?

We are in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Tufts, Harvard Pilgrim, and Cigna health insurance. If you do not have one of these health insurances, our fees range from $100-$200 depending on the provider and service offered. We are happy to submit claims on your behalf directly to your insurance company. we accept all card payments, checks, and direct account payments.

Brave Counseling and Wellness specializes in a variety of areas including anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. We have a particular special interest in working with adolescents, college students, identity issues, race-related issues, and trauma work.


Specialties

Anxiety - Coping with excessive worry, nervousness, or stress; intense discomfort in social settings (social anxiety); sudden and intense feelings of panic (panic disorder)

Couples counseling - Addressing relationship challenges and life transitions; strengthening communication and feelings of security, desire, connection, and love

Depression - Providing support and promoting healing of hopelessness, low motivation and energy, sadness, irritability, sleep disturbance, and loss of interest and pleasure in life

Postpartum depression - Coping with persistent feelings of sadness, exhaustion, and/or being overwhelmed after the birth of a child; developing strategies for more positive thought patterns and behaviors.

College & graduate student mental health - Specialized strategies for common issues of young adulthood, including school and career stressors, support around healthy relationships, existential concerns, drug or alcohol issues, eating disorders, and anxiety and/or depression.

Loss, grief, and bereavement - Emotionally preparing for the anticipated passing of a loved one; managing feelings and reactions to a death or loss of significance; support during the process of healing and acceptance
