A Creative Approach to Healing

At InTouch & Motion, we offer more than just traditional psychotherapy and counseling. We embrace an innovative approach through creative arts therapies, utilizing art, dance, music, and drama to help you access, clarify, and express your thoughts, ideas, and emotions.

Creative arts therapies provide insights and skills that traditional talk therapy alone may not offer. By engaging in these creative processes, you can explore new perspectives, support your growth, and facilitate healing in ways that resonate deeply with you.

Our therapists are trained in traditional counseling and creative arts therapies, allowing us to offer diverse services tailored to your individual needs. Let us help you find the right balance and the best path to your healing and growth.

But why is this approach so important for your healing journey? Because it recognizes that you are multifaceted, with emotions and experiences that extend far beyond words alone. Instead of simply talking through your thoughts and emotions, you are encouraged to explore them through movement, imagery, and sensory experiences.

By engaging in creative expression, you can uncover parts of yourself that may have been dormant or overlooked, leading to profound insights and growth. Creative arts therapy can potentially address not only your mental and emotional well-being but also your physical and spiritual wellness.Through art, music, dance/movement, or other artistic mediums, you can express yourself in ways you might never have imagined possible.

What services does your practice offer?

At InTouch & Motion, we strive to create an open, creative, and healing environment where individuals, couples, children, and families can access their greatest selves. We are a therapy group practice located in the Irving Park neighborhood of Chicago.

Our areas of specialization include trauma, significant life changes, sex and relationship concerns, anxiety and depression, and support for creative individuals seeking growth beyond traditional talk therapy.

Understanding that a family member's struggles can impact everyone, we offer comprehensive support to help your entire family. We provide services in English, Spanish, Urdu, Japanese, and ASL to ensure accessibility for diverse communities.

What are your practice's specialties?

Many of our clients come in when stress has reached a breaking point, whether it’s due to the reemergence of traumatic past events, culture and identity issues, significant life changes, burnout at work, depression and anxiety, or loss of creativity and motivation. Stressful moments play out across the landscape of the body and mind; by learning to tune into physical cues and sensations, clients calm overwhelming emotions and move in the direction of positive change. Using creativity and art making can help make emotions more visible and bring new insights, while helping you understand them or communicate about them with your partner or family.

If you seek to learn how to accept or express parts of yourself or your experience, this is the space for you. Curious? Want to know more? Schedule a call for a free consultation and lets see if your journey begins here.

Why should I choose your practice?

At InTouch & Motion, we know that talking about it isn't enough and our mission is to help you connect with your greatest self—mind, body, and spirit. Our specialized approach enhances traditional talk-therapy by weaving in elements of clinically-based creative expression customized in a unique client-centered plan.

How does payment work at your practice?

At InTouch & Motion, we are in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO and Blue Choice PPO plan, as well as all Cigna/Evernorth PPO, HMO and EAP plans. We also will submit claims directly to both in and out-of-network plans for you. Our fees range from $150-$195 depending on the provider and service offered.
