Practice Information

JRD Counseling is a group practice with two locations in the heart of Wayland Square in Providence. Our group practice is comprised of experienced clinicians who work with individuals across the lifespan and couples. We have expertise in working with individuals who are struggling with depression, anxiety, and trauma and provide individual and couples counseling services.

Each clinician draws upon and utilizes a number of theoretical frameworks to assist clients in obtaining their treatment goals and tailors treatment to to meet each individual, couples and family's needs. Our clinicians are versed in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing.

All of the clinicians provide therapeutic services in a warm, safe, caring and non-judgmental environment. We are committed to helping each client be the best version of themselves and believe that everyone is capable of being successful. We understand that entering into a therapeutic relationship can be scary and intimidating so we are committed to ensuring guidance and support to each client and their journey.

JRD Counseling, Inc is a group practice with two locations in Providence. We provide individual and couples counseling services and work with children and adolescents, as well as adults across the lifespan.

The clinicians at JRD Counseling, Inc specialize in a variety of areas including working with individuals who are struggling with depression, anxiety and trauma. We have therapists who have expertise in grief and loss, perinatal mental health and issues related to medical illness. We work with couples to enhance communication, address issues of trust and intimacy, as well as help couples navigate parenting and other challenges.

How does payment work at your practice?

***We are currently only accepting new clients with BCBC. JRD Counseling accepts a number of insurance plans, to include Blue Cross Blue Shield, Harvard Pilgrim and United Health Care. If you do not have one of these insurances, ours fees range from $150-$200 depending on the provider and service offered.
