Practice Information

Kinsey & Associates is a small, group practice in the heart of Boston, MA. We specialize in relational care. We focus on relationships of all kinds including the special relationship of therapist and client. We believe that good healthcare, especially mental healthcare, relies on the strength of the relationship between client and provider. And we believe that true wellness relies on the strength of one's personal relationships.

At Kinsey & Associates, we are client-centered, humanistic, and informed by philosophy and science. Clients come to us from all over Massachusetts, in person and online, often after trying many different therapists. They find us to be informed, compassionate, warm, and, most importantly, focused.

We are not head-nodders and back patters. We are not coaches and disciplinarians. We are not teachers. We are counselors. We approach our work with an informed perspective and with a deep commitment to humanistic principles and evidence-supported techniques based in the unique and important relationship of counselor and client.

If you are curious, call us. We offer a free, 15-minute, phone consultation to any who wish to investigate if we are a good fit.

FAQS

What services does your practice offer?

Kinsey & Associates offers individual, relationship, family, and group counseling. Because we are a collaborative group, we often offer relationship counseling and individual services in tandem to create a comprehensive and detailed approach.

What are your practice's specialties?

We specialize in relationships of all kinds including the relationship of counselor and client. We can treat many different emotional and relationship challenges including depression, anxiety, trauma, betrayal, complex-PTSD, and sexual challenges.

Why should I choose your practice?

There are many great therapists throughout Massachusetts, but we offer a unique blend of passion, focus, training, and expertise. We encourage our providers to be experts with a chosen focus. We encourage (and pay them) to read, write, speak, and learn. We are a group that is heavily invested in being the best we can be, and we support each other in that endeavor. As a result, you will find us sharper and better prepared than our colleagues who do not have such support.

How does payment work at your practice?

We are out-of-network providers. Our administrative team can and will assist you in filing for out-of-network reimbursement through our partnership with Mentaya.
