Practice Information

Lisa Loper is a licensed professional counselor in TX, VA and NJ. She offers remote therapy sessions in these states, as well as in-person sessions at her office in Sulphur Springs, TX. Lisa works with children ages 3-10, adolescent & teen girls and adult women. Many of Lisa’s clients come in to address anxiety, depression, trauma, disappointment and stress. Lisa is particularly passionate about supporting women of all ages and at all stages of life.

Lisa uses an integrative approach to therapy, meaning she looks at the individual needs of the client and uses evidence based strategies from many different types of therapy to find the tools that best empower the client to overcome their struggles. In session, Lisa focuses on exercises and tools that can be practiced in stressful situations as well as mindfulness techniques to relax the body and mind to reduce anxiety and improve daily life. This approach supports clients to feel more equipped to deal with their present struggles and successfully overcome future ones, too.

Lisa's style is warm, non-judgmental and empowering. When clients first start therapy, Lisa begins building a relationship in a safe environment where the client can share history and needs; together with the client, Lisa then sets goals and determines how to best equip the client to begin feeling, thinking and doing better.

Lisa received her M.Ed. from Dallas Baptist University. She has also worked extensively in the public school system as a teacher and school counselor, working with educators, children and their families.

Outside of private practice, Lisa enjoys playing with her miniature pinscher/chihuahua rescue pup, Winnie & cats, Tigger and Roo. She loves volunteering at her local church, reading and participating in book clubs and podcast meet-ups with friends.
