What services does your practice offer?

We offer individual, couples, group, and family therapy sessions, both in person and virtually. We are located in downtown Catonsville MD, 9 Newburg Ave Suite 102.

We offer a safe and comfortable environment where you can freely discuss your concerns about any personal issue. It is our commitment to make every effort to create a supportive environment so that you feel comfortable to discuss your concerns and receive effective treatment. In our care, you will learn how to implement positive changes in your life, allowing growth to take place within you.

The therapists at Stride forward counseling specialize in a variety of areas, including anxiety, depression, couples counseling, teens, perfectionism, highly sensitive people, grief, chronic illness, life transitions, relationship issues, and trauma.

Each of our therapist brings a lifetime of leaning and a wealth of clinical expertise to the counseling profession and to their clients. We encourage you to examine our clinician profiles and reach out to us individually for additional information.

How does payment work at your practice?

It varies by provider but some therapist in our practice are “in-network provider” for the following insurance carriers: BCBS, John Hopkins, Cigna, Aetna

We always encourage patients to contact their insurance company, prior to their first appointment, to ensure they have obtained the most up-to-date behavioral/mental health eligibility & benefits information. However, we also understand that information pertaining to insurance coverage can be complex. Therefore, we will gladly contact your insurance carrier to obtain your coverage information, upon your request. Should you decide to have us call your insurance carrier, please be advised you will need to provide your Photo ID and Insurance card (front and back).

Self-pay options: Initial/first appointment is $160 and follow-up appointments/visits are $145 for 50-55 minutes and $115 for 40 minutes.

Depression - Providing support and promoting healing of hopelessness, low motivation and energy, sadness, irritability, sleep disturbance, and loss of interest and pleasure in life

Life transitions - Coping with difficult or impactful life changes, such as moving to a new area, relationship transitions, child rearing, or career changes; learning self-care to better manage resulting stress

Perfectionism - Coping with feelings of anxiety, stress, self-criticism, and procrastination; addressing unrealistic expectations of one’s self and negatively comparing self to others

College & graduate student mental health - Specialized strategies for common issues of young adulthood, including school and career stressors, support around healthy relationships, existential concerns, drug or alcohol issues, eating disorders, and anxiety and/or depression.

Trauma - Coping and healing after threatening or scary events, such as witnessing accidents or experiencing sexual, verbal, emotional, or physical abuse
