Practice Information

Thanks for checking out The Therapeutic Workshop. We are a group of local therapists that offers creative and effective individual, relationship, and group therapy services. We work from a modern approach to therapy; doing our best to keep up with that latest research and models of therapies as well as working from the approach the mental health is health. We believe that personal growth and relational health are not things to address when they are broken, but are necessary to care for and receive support around early on and often. We are also creative and find ways to work with people that fit who they are; whether it is traditional talk therapy, virtual sessions by video or phone, walk and talk therapy in nature, therapeutically applied art, or utilizing games like Dungeons and Dragons to work with people to heal and grow. We get to know you as a person and relate to our clients as people who have things that interest and inspire them.

FAQS

What services does your practice offer?

The Therapeutic Workshop is a full-service therapy practice located in the Bayview neighborhood of Milwaukee. We offer individual , relationship, group, and family therapy. We are able to work in the way the best suits our clients; in person in our office, virtually by video or phone, or out in nature walking in the park or along the lake.

How does payment work at your practice?

The Therapeutic Workshop is a self-pay private practice our fees range from $125-$150. People choose to work with us despite this for a number of reasons such as; wanting to get started right away, working differently than a lot of providers, privacy, consistency, and the ability to control their own work. However, our clients are often able to be paid back for all or some of our fees by using their out of network benefits of their insurance policies.

What are your practice's specialties?

We work with people who are having many different challenges including; anxiety, depression, trauma, complex trauma and childhood emotional neglect. We work with people who are just looking for extra support in life; looking to grow and improve and protect their emotional and relational health to have overall better relationships with themselves and the people they care about.

We work with people in relationships to identify patterns that are keeping them stuck in the same place and help reconnect people one another again.

We do walk and talk therapy outside in nature to help people be able to be more regulated and creative when talking about difficult things in their lives.

Why should I choose your practice?

The Therapeutic Workshop is different than a lot of providers out there; we don't overload our therapists with clients which means we have time a capacity to really connect with and care about our clients. We believe that having a good fit with your therapist is so important that we offer no cost 30 minute consultation calls to really get to know who you will be working with and get a sense of how it feel.
