Professional statement

Erik Morris is a native of Oregon. Growing up in Eugene, and going to the University of Oregon for his undergrad in business and politics, he is very familiar with the Pacific North West.

After college, Erik found himself in Los Angeles studying acting, writing, structural bodywork, kundalini yoga, and meditation. There, he found his calling would be to integrate his diverse skillset and to one day own and operate a wellness center.

Mr. Morris moved to Manhattan and attended the University of Columbia to become a psychiatric nurse practitioner. He has since worked for a decade in community mental health treating severe and persistent mental health problems.

Now, Mr. Morris has established his own business and is treating individuals who are looking to improve their mental health and ability to relate better to self and others in an effort to create a more nourishing and satisfying life experience.

When not in the office, you can find Erik exploring the beautiful hiking trails around the Portland area, traveling, practicing yoga and meditation, and of course playing with his adorable puppy, Akiba.

Message to clients

Are you struggling under the weight of a mental health burden or pattern of behavior that you feel is holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling, productive, and creative existence? We understand that asking for help can be the hardest part.

At Samadhi, we believe each of us is so much more than our identified mental or physical health problems. However, sometimes a problem can draw so much attention that we forget our life’s grander vision and lose direction. We see it as our mission at Samadhi to help our clients regain more awareness of the bigger picture of their lives in an effort to discover a prescription for a better way forward.

Located in southwest Portland, Samadhi Psychiatric seeks to deliver psychiatric care from a therapeutic holistic perspective. We strive to provide sensitive care to all and are particularly equipped to handle the LGBTQ community. We take a collaborative approach and see ourselves as your consultant to better health and well-being.
