Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, LMFTI am an Asian American Trauma Therapist who specializes in helping Asian American adults overcome perfectionism, and toxic family dynamics and heal from childhood trauma. I provide culturally sensitive therapy for Asian American clients who struggle with shame, guilt, and perfectionism to heal, grow and thrive. I specialize in help clients heal from trauma that come from childhood and family.
If you struggle with with toxic family dynamics, crippling self-criticism, and perfectionism, I can help. I get what it is like to grow up in a family feeling not good enough and to never allow yourself to be you. I get what it is like to always put others' needs before yourself, and to have difficulty expressing what you want out of fear, guilt, and shame.
Race & cultural identity - I focus on integrating your cultural experience and identity into therapy and discuss how your cultural family upbringing affects you today.
Trauma - I focus on exploring, processing, and healing from childhood trauma, religious trauma, or relational trauma. I use Brainspotting, and other therapeutic methods to help further deep healing.
Family issues - I help you navigate, and process family issues, especially around family expectations, and needing to please your family.
Self-esteem - I help you process your feelings of inadequacy, and “not being good enough” by exploring the root causes behind your feelings.
Perfectionism - I help you overcome perfectionism by uncovering underlying feelings behind perfectionism and how perfectionism has helped you in childhood.
