Master of Science, MS - Mental Health Counseling Clinical Psychologist, PsyD Specialties • Insurance & Fees • LocationsDr. Vandegrift (she/her) is a licensed clinical psychologist based in Pennsylvania. Dr. Vandegrift graduated from Temple University with a dual degree in Psychology and Biology. After gaining experience in the field of forensic psychology and completing her Master's degree in clinical and counseling psychology, she began her doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 2016. She graduated with a Doctor of Psychology with a focus in Psychological Assessment from Chestnut Hill College, Philadelphia.
While completing her graduate education, Dr. Vandegrift developed interests in working with clients experiencing trauma, depression, anxiety, as well as in a range of psychological assessments. She currently works with clients across the lifespan, with a particular focus on professional women.
Outside of work, Dr. Vandegrift considers herself a life-long learner with a penchant for staying up late to read. She can almost always be found with her nose in a book. She is also notably bad at surfing, but certainly tries her best.
Anxiety - Coping with excessive worry, nervousness, or stress; intense discomfort in social settings (social anxiety); sudden and intense feelings of panic (panic disorder)
Existential crisis & challenges - Supportive exploration of meaning and purpose in one’s life; finding one’s path in the face of existential anxiety, dread, and feelings of meaninglessness
Forensic psychology - Understanding and managing triggers and motivations related to criminal activity; evaluation of one’s mental competence, criminal responsibility, competency to stand trial, risk-assessment; testifying as an expert witness
Trauma - Coping and healing after threatening or scary events, such as witnessing accidents or experiencing sexual, verbal, emotional, or physical abuse
Psychological evaluations & testing - A broad range of tests and assessments that may be used to identify present strengths, provide diagnosis clarity, and inform treatment goals
Mood disorders - Clinical depression, persistent depression, bipolar disorder, and other mood disorders that cause disturbances in the client's mood, causing mood swings, restless sleep, and/or elevated mood
