Alexis holds dual graduate degrees from Columbia University, earning a Master of Education in Psychological Counseling and a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling with a Bilingual Latino Mental Health Counseling specialization. This extensive training has equipped Alexis with a comprehensive understanding of diverse cultural perspectives. Fluent in Spanish, she works with clients from various backgrounds.
Primarily working with psychodynamic and person-centered approaches, Alexis incorporates techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), and mindfulness practices to foster holistic treatment. Her therapeutic style focuses on creating a mind-body connection, tapping into emotions, and emphasizing individuals’ strengths to facilitate growth, resilience, and insight.
