Professional statement

Alyssa Butler (she/they) MA LPCC is an independently licensed mental health counselor specializing in Art therapy and Nature Based Therapy. They are passionate about utilizing nature and art to promote healing and a deeper connection with self.

Alyssa Butler looks at each client as an individual; they do not take a "one size fits all" approach. She believes clients have the answers they need, and supports clients in self exploration to identify their needs starting within themselves. Alyssa's goal with clients is to help them work through past occurrences that are impacting their present life, and support clients in feeling empowered to live their lives without carrying the baggage from the past. They know it is possible to move through challenging moments to achieve overall wellness.

Alyssa has extensive training and experience working with trauma, PTSD, C-PTSD, depression, anxiety, and more. They have supported clients from ages 4-65+ work through challenging and traumatic situations.

Alyssa offers in person and Telehealth services for individuals and couples. She offers intensive day retreats for individuals, couples and groups. Please contact them if you have questions and want more information.

I currently accept some insurances through Headway.

Message to clients

Hello wonderful human! I am honored for an opportunity to walk along side you on your journey towards wellness. I know you're probably feeling so many different emotions, and have multiple thoughts about the journey ahead. You are here for a reason (I could guess, but there's a million different reasons someone begins the search for support from a professional). I won't guess the reason, but I do know when people get to this point they're ready for a change. You're ready to make changes in your life; you're probably sick and tired of how you've been feeling, the thoughts you've been thinking, and maybe even over some behaviors you have. If this is you, you're in the right place.

Together we can navigate your journey ahead. I let you lead the way, and will be by your side to provide guidance as needed. A mentor once shared this metaphor with me that I summarizes my role as a counselor: "I hold a clients light for them until they are ready to carry it themselves." This light is hope. I have so much hope for you and I know you are capable of creating the life you want and deserve.

Although, I am not the perfect counselor for everyone if you think we are a good fit and want a chance to talk to explore your options more, please contact me to schedule a free 15 minute consultation call.
