Professional statement

Amanda is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor based in Dallas, TX, with a passion for helping clients navigate trauma, anxiety, the challenges of adulting, and disordered eating. She is certified in Brainspotting (BSP) and the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) and enjoys using these tools to support clients in ways that are meaningful and effective.

Amanda believes in lifelong learning and regularly seeks out new training opportunities and consultations with colleagues locally and across the country. She values collaboration and makes it a priority to connect with other healthcare professionals involved in a client’s care, ensuring a seamless and supportive experience.

Her approach integrates Polyvagal Theory, Interpersonal Neurobiology, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, and parts work, always focusing on attuning to her clients’ needs and helping them become more in tune with their own inner cues.

Amanda holds a Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Texas Woman’s University and has experience across various levels of care, including inpatient and residential settings, partial hospitalization, and outpatient programs. She is now the proud Co-Founder of Crescent Counseling, which she started with her longtime friend and colleague, Allison.

Message to clients

I specialize in working with trauma, attachment, and anxiety using body-brain techniques that promote deep, transformative healing. As a brain-wise therapist, I’ll help you navigate the complex connections between your brain, body, mind, and relationships. My approach is rooted in neuroscience and integrates mindfulness and relational therapy to help you process experiences, move forward, and reclaim your resilience. I’m here to support you in moving from merely surviving to truly thriving with greater confidence, ease, and health. I believe in giving individualized care because every journey is unique.

In my work, I use dynamic methods like Brainspotting (a brain-based therapy) and the Safe and Sound Protocol (an evidence-based listening therapy) to help you tap into your creativity, curiosity, and the mind-body connection. These approaches offer new pathways to healing and can help you feel more whole.

I’m here to guide you in discovering your natural healing power. Together, we’ll build self-compassion and resilience, encouraging you to be curious about your inner world. If you’d like to know more about how I work, let’s schedule a consult and see if my approach feels right for your journey towards healing.
