Amos Worth, LICSW, is a Social Worker in private practice in Somerville, MA. He works with a wide variety of individual adults. His work focuses on helping his clients explore their inner worlds, come to understand how different parts of themselves interact, and then resolve the feelings and wounds that are driving inner and outer conflict. In doing this work, he primarily acts a guide, using specific skills and techniques to help client’s access their own sense of self.
In addition to the above internal work, Amos also teaches physical, body-based skills that help client’s manage their internal states. These skills help people have a certain level of equanimity in their daily lives, and also make space for deeper internal explorations.
Amos has over 20 years of experience working in Mental Health in a variety of roles, from doing rehabilitation in the community for people with major mental illnesses to managing residential treatment programs for homeless Veterans. He now brings that experience to his work in private practice.
Amos has limited availability for in-person sessions, but primarily works remotely. His physical office is in Porter Square and he can see people located anywhere in Massachusetts via telehealth.
