Annelise Hernandez is a therapist in Jacksonville. She works with Couples and individuals. Many of Annelise’s clients come in to address life transitions, couple conflict, communication concerns, anxiety and depression. Annelise is particularly passionate about serving the LGBTQ+ community, recent graduates, and couples looking to improve their connection.

Annelise is trained in Gottman Method, Solution Focused Therapy, TF-CBT and Narrative Therapy, in which we use the therapeutic relationship to look at how patterns of interaction have developed and can be used to strengthen connections outside of session. In session, Annelise focuses on communication techniques, breathing exercises, and coping skills to utilize in and outside of session.. This approach supports clients to are able to process difficult thoughts or emotions and make decisions that are in line with their beliefs and values..

Annelise's style is collaborative, warm, and non-judgmental. When clients first start therapy, we will establish a strong relationship and comfortable environment where clients feel safe and heard.

Annelise received their M. MFT from Abilene Christian University. She has also worked at local community non-profit serving children and families. Outside of private practice, she enjoys playing video/board games, being outside, and traveling.. Annelise offers both in person and virtual sessions.
