Antonio Ruberto, Jr., MS, LCSW-R, CASAC is a licensed clinical social worker (R) and credentialed alcoholism and substance abuse counselor with extensive experience working with diverse populations and issues. He believes that every individual can achieve a more authentic understanding of themselves, their background, the more challenging aspects of their lives, as well as identifying positive attributes and assets. Through the use of a diverse set of treatment strategies and via an intersectional lens which acknowledges systemic impacts, clients are able to set achievable objectives and goals, moving forward in life with a better understanding of themselves and the environment around them.
Antonio worked in flagship retail management for four years and for seven years at Columbia Business School as a Program Manager for executive education programs. Antonio is a member of the New York State OASAS Clinical Advisory Panel and the ASAP Diversity Equity Inclusion Committee and has provided workshops and trainings for the ASAP Conference, the NASW Addiction Institute Conference, the New York Criminal Justice & Treatment Conference and The Gay Men’s Health Summit and SYNChronicity Conference, both in Washington, D.C.
Since 2021, Antonio has also been the Chair of the NASW (National Association of Social Workers) Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drugs Specialty Practice Section. He received his Bachelor of Art degree in Psychology and Art History from NYU and his Master of Science in Social Work degree from Columbia University.
With 15 years of experience at the New York City LGBT Center, most recently as their Senior Director of Behavioral Health, Antonio has an extensive knowledge and expertise working across the spectrum mental health and substance use issues and concerns.
