Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor, LPC-S Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor, RPT-S Master of Arts, MA Specialties • Insurance & Fees • LocationsAyesha Lakhani is a Licensed Professional Counselor who is based in Bellaire, Texas just outside of Houston, who works with individuals across the lifespan, with a focus on teens and adults. Many of Ayesha's clients navigate feelings of stress, anxiety, and depression that have become overwhelming, and impact how they show up at school, work and in relationships. She works with clients to explore core beliefs about themselves, others, and the systems they exist within, working together to create strategies tailored for the client and where they are in their journey.
Ayesha's approach focuses on helping clients understand how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are interconnected, so that they can begin to make specific change. She works to help clients identify and understand their physical response to external stressors, and begin to find ways to create calm and peace within themselves, to choose to respond rather than react in the face of change.
Ayesha is focused on ensuring that her clients see real progress: her style is interactive, non-judgmental, and creates a safe place for the client to be an expert of their lives and create change for their future. Ayesha understands the value in exploring past experiences and how they can impact present challenges, and works closely with clients to reframe the narrative of their life in a way that increases self-confidence and compassion.
