Professional statement

Brooke Miller is a psychotherapist and holistic life coach. She helps clients get unstuck so that they can create the lives and relationships they truly desire. She has a special affinity for anxious overachievers who are looking to create more balance and joy in their lives.

Brooke's approach to personal development is eclectic. Drawing from both therapy and coaching models, she meets clients where they are on their path of personal development. Therapy is about understanding and healing from the past to create a vibrant present; coaching is about breaking through limited beliefs and patterns to break out of our current comfort zone and grow into our future potential. As creatures of habit, we can get stuck at any point along the way. Brooke helps her clients create the forward momentum they need through education, skill building, pattern recognition & rewiring, problem-solving, goal-setting, practice building and tracking. Having an accountability partner who can help to reprogram negative patterns while keeping motivation high is critical to the change process.

Brooke has been in the mental health field for 20 years and has worked with clients across the lifespan, from age 5 to 85. She has worked with children, adolescents, families, couples and groups from diverse backgrounds with presenting problems such as anxiety, depression, communication/conflict, divorce, blended family, grief, life transitions and career/business. It is this wide range of experience with varied populations that Brooke draws from when supporting her clients today.

Message to clients

Hello! Congratulations on taking the first step to writing your Next Chapter. Seeking a professional to accompany you on your journey of self development is a wise choice. In my years as a therapist and coach, I have come to know that as social creatures, we especially need others to support us in times of crisis and in times of change. This is not a weakness, it's just part of being human.

My style is empathic and direct. My goal is to create a safe space to explore and express your truth. I ask a lot of questions to get at the core of the issues and to help you find solutions that will work.

This journey is about YOU, not me. I will share personal experiences rarely and only as they directly relate to what is being discussed. With that said, I have plenty of personal experiences to draw from as a single parent, an entrepreneur, an anxious overachiever and someone who has moved around a lot and traveled to many places in this world.

I help my clients shift their perspective and focus to create the changes they desire. I believe that we are all works in progress and hopefully we are working toward our ideal lives every day. Reach out for a consultation, I would love to connect!
