Cara Czarnecki is a trauma specialist based out of Denver, CO. Her focus is on treating Complex PTSD and Dissociative disorders. Her clients often struggle with old thought patterns, trauma responses, and relationship struggles. Many people that are highly sensitive and empathic find a safe and mindful space in her practice. Cara uses integrative and creative ways to help the individual heal from complex trauma. She is an Art Therapist, a Reiki master, EMDR certified and an EMDR consultant in training (CIT). She enjoys using the combination of evidence based trauma treatments (EMDR ) with creative ways to process and express (Art Therapy) while encompassing the mind, body and spirit (Reiki) in the healing process.
Cara has worked with a variety of populations including inner city Chicago youth in an inpatient setting to more than 12 years in private practice work with teens and adults. Cara has a roots in Adlerian concepts, earning her Masters degree in Art Therapy and Counseling Psychology from Adler School of Professional Psychology in Chicago. Cara now works with individual adults who struggle with symptoms caused by C-PTSD and dual diagnosis that can often accompany trauma including; OCD, Borderline Personality Disorder, Dissociative Disorders including DID and symptoms including depression, anxiety, panic, and shame. Cara is Neurodivergent affirming and LGBTQIA affirming.
Cara is conveniently located off of 25 and CO Blvd and prefers in person sessions, however, also offers video sessions for those times that the drive into her office wont fit into life.
