She/Her/Hers
Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate, LCMHC-AShe/Her/Hers
Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate, LCMHC-ACarla Kucinski is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate. She owns Space to Heal Counseling & Wellness in Greensboro and offers teletherapy sessions for individuals 16 and older throughout NC.
Many of Carla’s clients first contact her when they’re feeling overwhelmed and need someone they connect with and trust to help them find their way. They are often high-functioning but weary from the weight of all they’re carrying. They may be struggling with trauma symptoms, adapting to the challenges of chronic illness, or experiencing a life transition that have caused an upheaval of fear, loss and uncertainty. They come to counseling seeking peace and harmony, new ways of coping, and deeper self-awareness so they can live a fulfilling life.
Carla is passionate about supporting survivors of trauma and individuals living with chronic illness and has personally experienced the challenges and life-altering effects of both. She also loves working with: college and graduate students; women who feel overextended and want more balance and joy; individuals who want to let go of perfectionism and busyness.
Carla’s style is warm and genuine. As a trauma-informed counselor, she provides a validating, supportive space where clients feel safe and comfortable expressing their emotions and thoughts.
She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), which helps people recover from distressing experiences related to trauma, anxiety, PTSD, chronic illness, grief and loss. She utilizes an eclectic approach tailored to meet individual needs, goals and interests. She places a strong emphasis on developing self-awareness and inner wisdom in an empathetic, nonjudgement way and helping clients identify and remove obstacles preventing them from an authentic, fulfilling life. She believes in the powerful mind, body, soul connection and integrates mindfulness, art therapy and somatic psychology into sessions to grow that awareness.
