Professional statement

Dr. Carolyn Trasko, PhD, LCSW, NBC-HWC, CHTP, founder of Empowered Wellness, is an Integrative Mental Health Specialist. They have a hybrid practice physically located in Milton, DE. They work with adults experiencing chronic stress, due to unresolved emotional traumas, addictions, or a life-changing medical diagnosis. Many Empowered Wellness’ clients struggle with anxiety, depression, chronic pain, or relationship issues. Dr. Trasko is particularly passionate about serving people suffering from chronic conditions. They have advanced training in complex trauma, functional, integrative, and energy medicine.

Dr. Trasko is trained at the doctoral level in Mind-Body Medicine, specializing on the relationship between emotions, the mind, spirit/purpose, and physical health. They utilize a holistic, root-cause perspective concentrating on the integration of mind, body, brain, and spirit. Dr. Trasko looks at the areas you might be stuck; mindset, physical health, energy (i.e., chakras/qi), and relationships. This approach supports clients to experience decreased depression, anxiety, or pain and creates opportunity to reconnect to purpose.

Dr. Trasko’s style is integrative, a bridge between Western/allopathic treatment and Eastern medicine (Ayurvedic, Traditional Chinese Medicine, energy medicine). From the very first contact, Dr. Trasko empowers you to be seen, felt, and heard in your life. Your journey together begins with developing a personalized, self-care plan with tools to improve wellbeing based on your personal history.

Dr. Trasko received their doctorate in Mind-Body Medicine from Saybrook University, and their Masters Degree in Social Work from UCONN. They have additional certifications; National board certification in health and wellness coaching, sensorimotor psychotherapy, Healing Touch (energy healing), and auricular acupuncture, enabling them to combine their over 30 years of clinical experiences to create a unique approach to helping clients heal. Outside of private practice, they enjoy creating memories and spending time with their feet in the sand.

Message to clients

I am a woman on a mission to help make Integrative Mental Health a “standard” of care for those of you seeking ways to harness the wisdom of your mind and body to heal. I am in constant awe of the resiliency of the human spirit. I am here to share with you that hope is possible.

Together we will explore how physical and emotional experiences influence your personal narrative, your relationships, and your overall health. I am grateful to hold space with you, serving as witness, allowing you to be seen, felt, and heard and most importantly, reminding you that “YOU ARE NOT CRAZY.”

Through this work, you identify how mindset, past traumas, and physical health conditions impact your mind, body, and spirit. You learn essential skills of self-compassion, self-acceptance, self-love, and self-forgiveness. My heartfelt intention is for you to be empowered to rewrite your story and manifest a healthier you. This begins with identifying why healing matters to you and how to stay motivated along the way. To help reach your goals, we develop a self-care plan that incorporates many aspects of your life, including stress management, diet/nutrition lifestyle, social supports/love relationships, and exercise/movement.

I am eager to serve as your guide and your accountability mentor along your health and wellness journey.
