Psychologist, PhDDr. Richards is a Licensed Psychologist in the state of NY and NJ, with 18+ years of experience evaluating, coaching, and treating adults and adolescents.
Dr. Richards practices from an integrative approach and she has extensive experience in treating anxiety and mood disorders, relationship issues, stress management, and major life changes in diverse clinical settings, including correctional facilities, nursing homes and rehabilitative centers, and private practice. She founded Integrative Psychological Professional Service in 2020, an online group practice, during the COVID-19 pandemic in response to the increasing demands for quality psychological services amongst underserved populations. She is also the founder of Potential Optimization Consulting, a consulting practice dedicated to helping women and professional minorities leverage their strengths, attain their goals, and reach their highest potential.
Dr. Richards graduated from the University of Florida with a doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology in 2005. During her tenure, she participated on a research team focused on developing data driven approaches and interventions geared toward identifying and addressing the social and cognitive factors that facilitate preventative healthcare behaviors among culturally diverse populations. She subsequently completed her predoctoral internship for Mt. Sinai Services at Elmhurst Hospital Center. She further completed a post-doc in psychological and neuropsychological testing, as well as correctional psychology.

Life transitions - Coping with difficult or impactful life changes, such as moving to a new area, relationship transitions, child rearing, or career changes; learning self-care to better manage resulting stress
Race & cultural identity - Exploring topics of racial, cultural, and ethnic background as it relates to one’s family origins and personal identity
Imposter syndrome - Learning how to identify instances of imposter syndrome and combatting any beliefs that one is not enough or does not deserve good things; practicing assertiveness and developing confidence
