Cherie Adams-Ndlovu, LPC, CAADC, CCPT, NCC is a clinically trained Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in psychotherapy with adolescents and adults. She has experience treating individuals with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorders, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder, Social Anxiety Disorder, Depressive Disorders, Substance Use Disorders, trauma, hoarding, skin picking/hair pulling disorders, suicidal ideation, self-harm, and specific phobias. Additionally, Cherie helps individuals through life transitions and in managing life stress.

Cherie uses an integrated approach in therapy, weaving techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solutions-Focused Brief Therapy into evidenced based approaches specific to each person's needs. These more specialized approaches include Exposure and Response Prevention, Motivational Interviewing, Habit Reversal Training, Behavioral Activation, Prolonged Exposure Therapy, Schema Therapy, and Mindfulness. Originally from Birmingham, AL, Cherie graduated from The University of Alabama at Birmingham with a Bachelor's degree in psychology. She then earned a Master's degree from Indiana University in Counseling and Counseling Education. Cherie has 9 years of experience in the mental health field and has worked in a variety of settings including: inpatient, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, in-home, and residential. During the Covid 19 Pandemic, Cherie realized that telehealth provided much greater access to specialized mental health services and decided to transition to a 100% online practice.

Cherie lives in Duluth, Georgia with her husband and dog, Sugar. When not trying out the wonderful international restaurants in Duluth, Cherie spends her free time traveling, reading, and finding a new hobby every month.
