Chris Baker is a licensed therapist in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Chris is also a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor. Chris has an office in Newton, MA and sees patients both in-person in his spacious office or virtually through Zoom. Chris sees patients across the lifespan. He has experience working with individuals as young as 11 yeas old and as old as 85 years old. Chris also works with couples and families who are working to explore and work on the dynamics that exist within such relationships.

He specializes in working with individuals who are struggling with depression, substance use disorders, anxiety, adjustment disorders, and a multitude of other clinical matters. Chris formulates a multifaceted approach to therapy and incorporates tenets of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy.

Chris is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker who has worked in the field of behavioral health treatment and therapy since receiving his Master's Degree in Clinical Social work from Rhode Island College. Prior to receiving his graduate degree, Chris attended the University of Rhode Island where he studied Sociology and Political Science.
