Professional statement

Dr. Christina Saltman is a Clinical Psychologist located in Brookline, MA. Dr. Saltman is passionate about providing women with the support they need throughout the lifespan. Many of Dr. Saltman’s clients seek therapy to help with a major transition, including starting a relationship, becoming a parent, growing a family, switching careers, or aging. Some of Dr. Saltman’s clients find themselves becoming overwhelmed by anxiety, depression, or stress from work, school or interpersonal relationships. Dr. Saltman helps all clients explore their emotions and develop ways to cope with any moments of distress.

Dr. Saltman uses a signature three-pronged approach to therapy that incorporates cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy and existential therapy. Through CBT and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), you are encouraged to change patterns of thinking and behaviors to provide symptom reduction. Psychodynamic therapy's focus on attachment and relationship dynamics helps to improve and heal dysfunctional relationships. Finally, existential therapy allows you to increase self-direction and identify goals in order to achieve your maximum potential.

Dr. Saltman earned her PhD from California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University San Diego. She has extensive experience supporting individuals and families with their mental health. Her goal is to empower clients to take control over their mental health and to lead happy, healthy lives.
