Professional statement

Dr. Christina Saltman is a Psychologist located in Cambridge, MA. Dr. Saltman is passionate about providing women with the support they need throughout the lifespan. Many of Dr. Saltman’s clients seek therapy to help with a major transition, including starting a relationship, becoming a mother, growing a family, switching careers, or aging. Some of Dr. Saltman’s clients find themselves becoming overwhelmed by anxiety, depression, or stress from work or school. Dr. Saltman helps all clients explore their emotions and develop ways to cope with any moments of distress.

Dr. Saltman’s approach to therapy stems from existential theory, which helps clients process through periods of major change in their lives. She also practices Prolonged Exposure Therapy and Cognitive Processing Therapy to support clients who have previously experienced traumatic events. Clients learn strategies for managing difficult emotions that interrupt their daily routines. Dr. Saltman also teaches clients various skills from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help combat cognitive distortions that can lead to low self-esteem or relationship conflicts.

Dr. Saltman earned her PhD from California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University San Diego.
