Professional statement

Christine Snyder, LCSW is a licensed clinical social worker providing virtual therapy throughout the state of New Jersey. Christine specializes in helping individuals understand and navigate the complications of infidelity in their relationships. She also has a special interest in working with adult males with depression and anxiety. Christine has also completed specialized training to work with men and women with postpartum and pregnancy-related concerns, including those confronting infertility concerns, postpartum depression and anxiety, or pregnancy loss.

Christine’s style is interactive, warm, and when appropriate, fun. She places importance on the relationship she has with her clients and provides a safe environment for clients to express themselves. Because she is currently pursuing postgraduate training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy, she helps clients explore how their family patterns play a role in their current situation.

In addition to her graduate degree in social work, Christine has undergraduate degrees in sociology and music and she works as a freelance church organist when not seeing clients.

Message to clients

It’s important to me that you feel comfortable in sharing your self with me. If you are feeling shame or embarrassment about your behavior or some aspects of your self, you will not be judged by me. You are doing the best you can under the circumstances.

Together, we can figure out a way forward that helps ease the feelings of anxiety and depression that propelled you to find a therapist. In time, you will find resolution in other areas of your life including a greater tolerance of your own feelings and an increase in self-compassion.
