Coco Wellington is a Licensed Mental Health Clinician living and working in Falmouth MA. Coco enjoys working with individuals 18 and older manage anxiety, depression, life transitions, performance psychology, substance use challenges and recovery. Thru the integration CBT, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing and the development of DBT skills clients have found great success in their careers, academically and in relationships. Coco helps clients manage life transitions
Coco's approach is to meet clients where they are. Thru evidence based practices she helps clients understand the how intertwined thoughts and feelings are and how to manage uncomfortable emotions She and her clients work together to manage the process of change thru learning mindfulness, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness and emotional regulation skills.
Therapy and life coaching sessions with Coco integrates both insight-oriented and skills-based approaches toward gaining a new awareness into clients emotional and relationship patterns. At the same time, she focuses on practical strategies, involving relaxation and mindfulness practices
Coco was trained and worked at The Massachusetts Mental Health Center ( Harvard teaching hospital) and worked at Cambridge Hospital as a team leader/lead clinician in the area of Co Occurring disorders/ Dual Diagnosis. She then was site supervisor of a community mental health center and Clinical Director of Penikese Island a co occurring program or young men.
Coco was also trained as a Life Coach by Mentor Coach, Training Therapists to be Coaches
