Professional statement

Colleen Murphy is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker located in North Attleboro, MA. Colleen is passionate about working with individuals and couples who feel thrown off of their life journey and would like to return to a greater sense of wellbeing. Colleen helps individuals who feel the symptoms of depression and anxiety, as well as couples who hope to strengthen their bonds.

Colleen is a solutions-focused therapist which means that she supports clients in working towards their goals. She provides a comfortable, safe atmosphere to talk through any problems in a client’s life and reflects on the barriers to attaining a fix to these problems. This type of therapy is especially effective for those going through major life transitions, including a new medical diagnosis, a break-up, a move to a new area, becoming an empty nester, and more.

Colleen earned her Master’s degree in Social Work from Bridgewater University. She enjoys getting to know clients and their histories while focusing on the future - a future that includes self-love, satisfaction, and balance.

Message to clients

My specialty is working with couples and individuals who want more satisfying lives and relationships.Everyone experiences challenges from time to time. When these events change the course of your journey and throw you off your path, with the tough times outweighing the good times, you may feel anxious, stuck or depressed. I am committed to help you learn to listen to and trust yourself deeply and fully so that you can live the kind of life you want and deserve.

In my practice, I work with people in transition that may include beginning or ending a relationship, becoming a parent or empty nester or coming out to family and friends. All of these events can be meaningful moments for reflection and understanding. I also offer online therapy via a secure, HIPAA compliant platform.

Call me about your situation and let's see whether we may be a good fit to work together. If you don't reach me, just leave me a voice message with a little detail. I'll do my very best to get back to you within 24 hours.
