Professional statement

Dylan Perese is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist based in Los Angeles. Dylan specializes in blending evidence based tools with holistic modalities in his sessions with individuals, families, and couples. Dylan frequently works with Clients experiencing life transitions, relationship stress, grief and loss, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Dylan’s passion lies at the intersection of science and spirituality, where he is able to craft tailor made plans for each Client depending on their needs.

Dylan’s approach is rooted in the power of using reflection to generate insight. With Dylan, no two sessions are alike: from learning skills for maintaining interpersonal boundaries to practicing the intuitive art of visualizing change. With a background in the holistic arts, meditation, and music composition, Dylan is able to offer a lens that blends the clinical with the holistic, helping Clients to see both the trees in front of them and the larger forest.

Dylan’s style of therapy is warm and empowering with a focus on manifesting the wellbeing of people’s mind, body, and spirit. Dylan provides a calm space for Clients, allowing them to process their experiences in a deep and discerning way. Dylan believes in the power of language, imagination, and words to shift our perspective on life and to create transformation.

Dylan earned his BA from Harvard University in 2016, where he completed his Thesis on the power of astrology to help people make meaning and develop purpose out of adversity. Then, he continued to earn his MA from Antioch University Los Angeles in 2022, where he specialized in Spiritual and Depth Studies before joining the Center for Psychotherapy, Spirituality, and Creativity as an Associate Psychotherapist. Dylan sees Clients both online and in-person in West Los Angeles and currently offers evening and weekend availability.

Message to clients

My journey began when I realized that conventional therapy often overlooks the profound impact of spirituality and the holistic healing arts on one's wellbeing. I wanted to bridge this gap and create a safe space where individuals can explore and integrate their beliefs into their healing process. In blending clinical practices with holistic practices, I acknowledge the interconnectedness between mind, body, and spirit. By incorporating these aspects into therapy, I am able to offer a more comprehensive approach to promote overall well-being and personal growth. I love helping people discover their own relationship to spirituality and the holistic arts. Ultimately, I'm here to support you as you navigate life, not to convince you of anything.
