Professional statement

Eating disorders leave us feeling out of control, insecure, and unfulfilled. You may be struggling with perfectionism, fear of failure, and people pleasing. You may be fed up with constant restriction, over eating, or both. Perhaps you're feeling disconnected and self-conscious about your body, or overwhelmed with strong feelings and unsure of how to manage them. You might not even remember a time when it didn’t feel this way. But one thing is for sure: you’re ready for some relief. You’re ready to build stronger healthier relationships, including with food and your body. You’re ready to feel better in your own skin. Most of all, you’re ready to feel empowered and confident to take control of your life.

Clients come to Elizabeth looking for a therapist who treats the whole person, not just the eating disorder. Sessions with her are comfortable and interactive. Together, you will increase mindfulness of the root cause of the eating disorder, assess your personal values and goals, and find fulfillment in the life you want to live. And you will always go at your pace.

Elizabeth holds a Masters Degree from Boston College and is a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor. She has experience with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy as well as body-based trauma work. As an experienced eating disorder therapist, Elizabeth believes that everyone has the inner wisdom they need to heal. She can help you access it. You don’t have to continue living with the eating disorder, and you don’t have to do it alone. If you're ready to start your recovery journey, schedule a free consultation with me today.

Message to clients

Welcome! I am passionate about helping adults recover from eating disorders and heal from trauma. My clients are often assigned female at birth, labeled "mature" in elementary or middle school, and find themselves chronically overachieving, perfectionist, and people pleasing. We focus our work on understanding how all of these behaviors intersect with eating disorders so they can live the life they want based on their individual values.

I help my clients find confidence, empowerment, and fulfillment by equipping them with the tools they need to cope with trauma and improve their relationship with food.

First, we assess how and why the eating disorder developed in the first place. We look at past trauma, people pleasing tendencies, perfectionism, and other traits that often escalate into an eating disorders or disordered eating.

Then, we assess your individual values and goals to determine how these factors are stopping you from living the life you want.

Throughout our work together, you’ll be equipped with effective coping skills so you can challenge the eating disorder, heal from trauma, set boundaries, and build the life and relationships you want.

If you're ready to take the next step, schedule a free consultation today!
