Message to clients

I start from a place of unconditional positive regard, and want my office to be a place where you can share anything without judgment. This goes for anything taboo, dark, or otherwise unmentionable in so-called ‘pleasant company.’ Mr. Rogers was wise as ever when he said, “Anything that's human is mentionable, and anything that is mentionable can be more manageable.” It’s my job to make anything feel ‘mentionable’ in my office.

One of the most powerful parts of therapy is perspective-shifting and meaning-making, my goal is to help you change the way you think. We start by talking about what's going on in your day-to-day, then dive deeper into themes and patterns in your life. I focus on you as a person, not a "diagnosis", you will be actively engaged while I guide and prompt you with the right questions at the right time.

We will make sense of the world together, so that you can achieve your highest potential and true contentment. I use metaphors and maybe a couple of silly-yet-sincere jokes that stick with you and make you think between our sessions. I won’t often give you worksheets, but I may pose a thought experiment.
