Genevieve Boykin(She/Her/Hers)

Genevieve Boykin is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and Certified Trauma Professional (CTP) in Rhode Island. She specializes in treating trauma, addiction, anxiety, relationship issues, depression, and life transitions. Her work is based on building on helping you develop Strength while supporting her clients during the healing process.

She believes that life is an accumulation of experiences that range from good, bad and indifferent. You don't have to be stuck in your past, and she is ready to help you move forward. Sometimes people will endure the pain and chaos because it's familiar rather than trying something new. Genevieve can help you look at situations from different mindsets by using many techniques. She is experienced in therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Strength-based approaches, and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR). The combination of modalities allows her to help you move through the pain of the past while stepping into your future.

Her training and world experience has allowed her to help clients get to the root of the issues. Everything we experience is connected to another life experience that leads down a rabbit hole. Genevieve's goal is to assist you in figuring out how to close doors you are ready to walk through. Insanity is doing the same thing repeatedly, expecting different results.
