Heidi Lindeman is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor located in Longmont, CO. Heidi is passionate about helping clients who are searching to live authentically because their daily lives have lost any sense of fulfillment. Many of Heidi’s clients are mom's who feel emotionally exhausted because they take care of everyone but themselves, including their children, friends, and partners. While these clients look like they’re successful at achieving a life balance to an outsider, they feel disengaged, frustrated, and like they need something more in their lives but can’t quite name their needs. They can see a future of how they want their kids to be and how they want to feel in their life, yet aren't sure how to get there. They have experiences of doing what their parents did and hate this.
Heidi’s own experience with mental health issues leads to an empathetic, open style. Heidi is an Internal Family Systems therapist with additional training and certification. Clients explore their internal worlds to discover how they fit authentically into the larger context around them, including within their immediate families, larger networks and their communities. Heidi also leverages her Master’s degree in Divinity to help clients explore their sense of life purpose, meaning, and ideas about higher powers. Heidi creates a calm, present space for clients to think aloud about what they want out of their lives. She provides empathetic support and helps clients draw connections between their thoughts, feelings, internal beliefs, and desires.
Heidi earned a Master’s degree in Divinity as well as a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling. She empowers clients to listen to their spiritual needs and to put their own mental health as a first priority. Her clients begin to feel engaged in their lives again after long stretches of "momming".

Transition to new parenthood - Becoming a parent can feel overwhelming as you try to survive. You might feel unsure of who you are and need help defining yourself as a parent. I can help you navigate this time so you can move through these early days with a sense of who you are to parent the way you desire.
Spirituality & religion - Exploring beliefs and practices related to meaning, existence, and spiritual health and healing; enjoying a deeper felt connection with the spiritual dimension of one's life, especially within your family life as a parent.
Self-esteem - Cultivating self-compassion, assertiveness, and confidence; developing ways to reduce suffering, anxiety, social withdrawal, and self-neglect
Mind-body connection - Practicing mindfulness to draw together how the body feels physically and how the mind feels mentally; healing both physically and mentally by using IFS.
Suicidal ideation - Sometimes sleep deprivation and hormonal changes after birth can bring suicidal thoughts. Suicidal ideation is telling you something is needed (and it's not death). Let's work together to find a way for you to survive and thrive as a new mom.
