Dr. Jane is a licensed psychotherapist, perinatal mental health specialist, substance abuse & addiction specialist, and a doctor of clinical psychology. Before delving into the world of perinatal mental health, she spent her time focusing on substance abuse and addiction treatment.
Having worked with both adolescents and adults in treatment settings, Jane has developed successful treatment models in outpatient settings while also providing freelance consulting on the side. Dr. Jane founded Elements Therapy Group in 2012 as an avenue for helping people find themselves again. A traditional private practice, Elements Therapy Group provides modern therapy in the modern world, even offering virtual support in addition to in-person sessions.
Jane also specializes in working with women with peripartum struggles. She is incredibly passionate about this niche and has been blessed to work with such a unique and strong population. Because of this passion, Jane founded Bloome, a postpartum planning and support service for mothers with newborns. As a mother and a clinician, Dr. Jane Shomof and her team are so excited to be able to provide this incredible service at a time when mothers need it most. She loves getting to know her clients and understands that every mama's needs are on a case-by-case basis, with no two treatments being exactly the same. She takes her time and works closely with her staff to make sure all her clients are receiving the utmost in care and support - personally and meticulously training her team and being involved in all of the client care from the start, Dr. Jane hopes to make each mother's journey smoother, more enjoyable, and significantly more supported. No one wants to go through this transition alone, and team Bloome is here to ensure that no one should have to!
