Jen Green is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. She completed her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling at Capella University and has trained in community mental health, elementary school, preschool, hospice care, and private practice settings in California. Jen is particularly passionate about working with women healing from trauma, working with children struggling with anxiety and grief, and older adult women in life transitions.
Jen’s holistic approach is tailored to each client and is informed by Narrative, Grief therapy, Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, and Strength-based theory, and Expressive arts theory. She is also trained as a teacher and is passionate about empowering kids and adults.
Jen is a compassionate and dedicated therapist who deeply values each of her clients. Jen works with women who are in transitions such careers, new baby, divorce recovery, or attending college and starting their degree, experiencing imposter syndrome, or self-doubt, and other life changes. I also work with women who have lost a loved one, or a family pet.
Jen also work's with children ages 8-10 who are feeling anxious and overwhelmed. Her background as a special education teacher for over 20+ years and working in the schools provides an understanding of child development and how anxiety impacts peer relationship and coping in the classroom.
