Professional statement

Jill is a seasoned psychotherapist specializing in Gestalt Therapy and EMDR. With over twenty years experience that includes clinical social work, community mental health, in-patient psychiatry and private practice she is equipped to meet you where you are.

The focus and medium for change in Gestalt Therapy is the embodied experience of the work. We tune in to our physical experience during the session to receive information that our intellectual faculties don't have access to. That information changes our perception and understanding of the problem opening new avenues for change.

In working with trauma we use Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an extremely effective modality for reprocessing traumatic events and healing from their lasting effects.

Message to clients

In my personal style, therapy is a warm, supportive, and inquisitive process where we explore what isn't working in your life or relationships. Together we will build awareness, make connections and discover patterns that interfere with your happiness and cause you dissatisfaction. When we create space between emotion and action, we will expand your awareness and a world of new choices will emerge for you.

With over 12 years in private practice, and many return clients, I can help you through my training in Gestalt Psychotherapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and certification in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Let's do some work together.
