Julie Panton is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in Providence, RI who specializes in working with children and their families in the following areas: ADHD, depression, anxiety disorders, behavioral challenges and emotional difficulties, anger management, and relationship and social challenges. She also has experience working with college students and young adults.
Julie takes a collaborative approach that is goal oriented and focused on solutions. She frequently utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help her clients change their thought and behavioral patterns and develop healthier coping skills. She believes her clients know themselves best and lets them take the lead in sessions. When working with young clients, Julie will utilize play therapy to help them express their feelings.
Julie cares deeply about her clients and wants them to succeed both in and out of school. She is there to help them learn how to express their emotions in a healthy way and overcome the challenges life throws their way. Outside of private practice, she works at a behavioral school. Prior to this, Julie worked in various agencies, including Family Service of RI. She looks forward to meeting you and your child.
