Justin Carotti is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and licensed alcohol and drug counselor (LADC) who practices out of Milford, CT. Justin is an expert in supporting adolescents, emerging adults, and young professionals (16-30+ y/o) through navigating the variety of challenges in their lives.
As a therapist, coach, and mentor, Justin's approach is both integrative and innovative. He has extensive experience working with young adults who struggle with complex mental health issues, mood disorders, and substance use concerns. In addition, he has supported young adults in other critical areas of life such as providing career counseling, recovery coaching, wellness and fitness coaching, and academic support.
Justin emphasizes the importance of trust and independence in his process working with clients and their families. He delivers a professional, individualized, and confidential service to all his clients. Client's will have an opportunity to convey their needs and goals early and often in their work. He is also highly committed to being flexible and consistent with all of his clients in an effort to build a strong working relationships.
In person sessions are offered at the Milford office, with increased flexibility to meet remotely throughout the week.
Adolescent mental health - Working with adolescents, teenagers, and parents on social, academic, and/or emotional challenges throughout teenage years; addressing anxiety, family conflicts, peer relationships, school stress, transition to college, social media pressures, self-esteem, hopelessness about the future, emotional disregulation
College & graduate student mental health - Specialized strategies for common issues of young adulthood, including school and career stressors, support around healthy relationships, existential concerns, drug or alcohol issues, eating disorders, and anxiety and/or depression.
Life coaching - Identifying intentions and implementing strategies to build resilience and work towards one’s personal, health, or career goals
Anxiety - Coping with excessive worry, nervousness, or stress; intense discomfort in social settings (social anxiety); sudden and intense feelings of panic (panic disorder)
Depression - Providing support and promoting healing of hopelessness, low motivation and energy, sadness, irritability, sleep disturbance, and loss of interest and pleasure in life
Substance abuse - Reducing and preventing the negative impact of drug and alcohol use and addictions on physical, emotional, and relational health
