Kamal Ahmed, LMFT is a holistic psychotherapist who provides support for teens, young adults, college students, and men who struggle with generalized anxiety, social anxiety, panic attacks, depression, perfectionism, relationship challenges, and lack of focus and motivation. Many of his clients are high functioning and would like to find support and solutions for specific challenges.
Kamal draws his interventions and knowledge from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), mind/body sciences such as Brainspotting and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), and attachment theory so his clients better understand why they are feeling stuck and learn effective ways on getting unstuck. He aims to help people develop more self-awareness and self-acceptance by teaching them practical tools, such as self-regulation and healthy social skills so they can handle life’s challenges with more confidence and ease.
As an avid athlete, Kamal brings with him a coaching edge to his sessions which helps his clients stay focused on their goals so they can get the results they’re looking for. He is strength-based and solution focused and is interactive during sessions. He deeply enjoys teaching his clients how to claim, express, and live their truths.
He conducts remote therapy via tele-therapy (video) for clients anywhere in California. He looks forward to meeting you.
