Professional statement

I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Addiction Counselor with over 20 years of experience in behavioral health, working in both inpatient and outpatient settings with children, families, and adults. I have a passion for teaching and have had the privilege of supervising students and teaching at the Academy for Addiction Professionals. I typically work with clients navigating anxiety, depression, addiction, trauma, anger, bereavement, life transitions, and relationship challenges who may feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to move forward. My style is warm, down-to-earth, and collaborative. I tailor my approach to each person's needs, blending CBT, DBT, person-centered therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Internal Family Systems with a client-centered style. Together, we can build healthy coping skills, explore patterns holding you back, and make changes that feel realistic and meaningful. Seeking help takes courage and is an important first step toward healing and growth. It's easy to get caught up in autopilot and forget to focus on yourself. In our work together, we'll build a supportive relationship where you can explore your feelings, notice where you feel stuck, and create space for positive change.
