Psychologist, PhDDr. Kimberlyann Marsden is a Psychologist located in Fernandina Beach, FL. She works with teenagers, young adults, and adults. Many of Dr. Marsden’s clients have busy lives and are constantly on the move, however feel emotionally disconnected from what’s happening around them. Many of her clients come in to address anxiety, depression, trauma and life transitions. Dr. Marsden is particularly passionate about serving college students, athletes, and adults trying to make significant life changes.
Dr. Marsden takes an eclectic approach to helping clients with their wellbeing. She has over 25 years of experience in psychology and is trained in holistic approaches to address mind, body and spirit that are practical and customized to the client. Therapy may include anything from mindfulness practices, cognitive-behavioral therapy, daily action practices, breathwork, visualization, and movement practices. She looks at where you are in life right now in comparison to where you want to be and helps empower you on your journey to mindfully creating the life you desire.
Dr. Marsden earned a PhD in Clinical Psychology. She was an All-American swimmer and brings her experience as an athlete, coach, and sports psychology researcher into her methods of working with clients. Her goal is to equip clients with the tools they need to take care of themselves inside and out. All sessions are done through telehealth.
Anxiety - Coping with excessive worry, nervousness, or stress; intense discomfort in social settings (social anxiety); sudden and intense feelings of panic (panic disorder)
College & graduate student mental health - Specialized strategies for common issues of young adulthood, including school and career stressors, support around healthy relationships, existential concerns, drug or alcohol issues, eating disorders, and anxiety and/or depression.
Depression - Providing support and promoting healing of hopelessness, low motivation and energy, sadness, irritability, sleep disturbance, and loss of interest and pleasure in life
Peak performance - Addressing mental barriers to realizing full potential; overcoming performance anxiety and self-doubt to reach personal and professional goals
Sports psychology - Navigating mental roadblocks to physical goals; optimizing personal and team performances
Life coaching - Identifying intentions and implementing strategies to build resilience and work towards one’s personal, health, or career goals
