Professional statement

Kristen Kofoed, LPC has been a licensed Psychotherapist for 23 years. She has intermingled her therapy practice along with her work as a Family Advocate for grieving families of organ donors during her time as a therapist. Kristen specializes in work with couples, relationships, separation and divorce, life transitions, grief and loss, and women's issues. In her exclusively Telehealth practice she uses Solution Focused, Cognitive Behavioral, Coaching, and Interpersonal modalities dependent on clients needs.

Kristen believes that action and movement propel clients toward healing and growth. Perseveration on the past and staying in that space will only do just that. She will NOT let you sit in that stagnancy. She will help you move through and past those obstacles that have kept you stuck in an unhealthy or demotivating existence. She will hold you accountable in a direct but compassionate way. She is a therapist that you can be 100% authentic with and say anything to without judgment.

It is her wish and goal that after every session with her, you will feel relief, hope, motivation, and empowerment in your life.

Message to clients

Hey! I'm so happy you took this step and reached out! Wherever you are, in whatever space, I will be right there with you and help you move through it. It's important to know a few things before we start. 1. You do not have to be guarded with me. Be yourself. Cuss. Cry. Laugh. Whatever! 2. You must be in Colorado during our sessions. 3. Everything is confidential unless you express self harm or harm to others. If that is where you sit, Telehealth may not be the best thing for you. Just know yourself and where you are in that regard. We can get you the right resources for you if that is needed.

That's it! I so look forward to meeting and working with you!
