He specializes in anxiety (and anxiety-related disorders), depression, gender care, body-focused repetitive behaviors (BFRBs), and working with LGBTQ+ youth and adults.
During Dr. Allen’s post-doctoral residency, he received specialized training in treating anxiety disorders and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)-specific training and supervision by recognized leaders in the field. He is a Certified World Professional Association for Transgender Health Care (WPATH) Global Education Initiative Standards of Care 7 Member and Mentor. Dr. Allen has published qualitative, quantitative, and theoretical articles on transgender health and ethics.
