In 2010 Lydia earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Human Development from Washington State University, followed by a Master’s Degree in Social Work in 2014 from Eastern Washington University. Most recently, she earned a Certified Anger Management Specialist Certificate and is fully licensed in four states, WA, AZ, TX and ND. With almost two decades in the mental health field Lydia brings a diverse background to her practice.
Lydia was a Hospice Social Worker for almost 9 years with Evergreen Healthcare. A Medical Emergency Room Social Worker with Smokey Point Behavioral Hospital and Sunstar Behavioral Solutions. Currently she teaches Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Emotional Regulation to a women’s group, virtually in the state of Washington. Three days a week in the evenings, Lydia is employed at Charlie Health, also virtual. This experience has been contributing factors to case management, individual therapy, group therapy, crisis intervention and treatment development with families of various social, economic, and racial backgrounds.
Lydia work with clientele between the ages of 18 to 75 yrs old. Lydia's therapeutic approach is the belief that clients are the experts of their own lives and clients holistically must be nurtured. Within this framework the clients will discover their own inner strengths and generate answers that will enhance their overall well-being. Lydia’s therapeutic modalities and evidenced based practices range from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Psycho-Education Therapy, Client Centered Therapy as well as Anger Management and Emotional Regulation. Lydia's therapeutic sessions are virtually only.

Mood disorders - Clinical depression, persistent depression, bipolar disorder, and other mood disorders that cause disturbances in the client's mood, causing mood swings, restless sleep, and/or elevated mood
Emotion regulation - Learning how to effectively manage the ups and downs of intense emotions; developing coping skills to use in a variety of settings to calm oneself and to give an appropriate amount of space to emotions
