Professional statement

Manisha Chulani is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist located in Fremont, CA. Manisha works with children, teenagers, and adults. She supports clients as they look inwards, developing deeper relationships with themselves in both an emotional and spiritual sense. Her clients might struggle with stress from school or work, as well as intense feelings of worthlessness. They face existential questions about their purpose and want to find a better way of living their everyday lives. This might be the result of a recent major change or becoming overwhelmed with feelings of distress.

Manisha’s approach to therapy begins with finding a sense of peace and balance. She sets up a therapeutic environment where clients can openly talk about their emotions and make sense of their emotions. Through introspection, clients begin to piece together different aspects of their lives. Manisha utilizes many evidence-based therapy modalities in her work with clients, including narrative therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and art therapy, which can be helpful with younger clients. Clients also gain insight into their thought patterns and how their thoughts can negatively influence their self-esteem and self-worth. Manisha encourages clients to practice self-compassion as they delve into their minds and spirits.

Manisha earned a Master’s degree in Counseling and School Psychology from California State University East Bay. She has over 10 years of experience as a therapist and is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist.

Message to clients

My goal as a therapist is to offer support and help clients make valuable and meaningful changes in their lives. I always prioritize fostering a sense of safety- having trust is essential for allowing you to feel supported and grow. I want you to feel understood, and I will be nurturing and consistent in our work together. Going inward will allow you to access deeper levels of insight, which can act as powerful catalysts to achieving happiness, wellness, and self-understanding.

I ultimately approach therapy as a process of introspective discovery and growth. If you want things in your life to change, it will be necessary to start doing things differently. I respect that change can be scary, but I am here to offer my guidance and tools to help you embrace the emotional and behavioral transformations you seek. No matter what you’re struggling with, I would be truly honored to help you in your healing journey.
