Dr. Mark DeYoung is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Texas, Florida, Arizona, and Virginia. He works with couples, families, and children. Many of Dr. Mark’s clients come in when dealing with marriage issues, affairs, parenting struggles, and adjustment to any number of challengs that life can throw our way. Dr. Mark is particularly passionate about serving marriages and families. He has received advanced training. His training has allowed him to achieve becoming a Clinical Fellow with American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy, a Founding Member of Texas Association of Marriage and Family Therapy, and completing Level III training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy.
Dr. Mark is an expert in Attachment Theory, and Family Systems Theory which he uses in all his work with couples and families. In session, Dr. Mark focuses on the goals that are established at the beginning of therapy. Dr. Mark received his Masters degree in Marriage and Family therapy from Harding University and a PhD in Child Development from Texas Woman's University. He has worked in diverse arenas including foster care, administration, consultant, trainer, and served as a public school board member. Outside of private practice, he enjoys time with his wife, taking walks and enjoying all things outdoors.
