Professional statement

Martha Nye is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who works with clients of all ages and from many walks of life. She's especially drawn to people who feel stuck, worn down, or uncertain how to move forward but who still carry a real desire to grow. Whatever season of life a client is in, Martha believes there is genuine power inside each person to reshape their own life, and much of her work centers on helping clients find that power and learn to use it.

At the heart of her practice is a grounded, hard earned optimism. Having walked alongside people through some of their most difficult chapters, she holds firmly to the belief that everyone is capable of a life full of meaning, and she'll hold onto that belief for her clients on the days it feels out of reach. Clients describe her as supportive and never judgmental. She pays close attention to what each person actually needs rather than applying a single formula to everyone, because she sees growth and healing as deeply personal work. Her aim is to understand you, meet you where you are, and help you move toward the life you want.

With more than twenty five years of clinical experience, Martha has built her career around one steady conviction: that watching someone begin to live more fully, more like the person they've always wanted to be, is what makes this work meaningful.

Martha sees clients through WellQor and offers remote sessions via secure video for clients located throughout Texas, with weekday availability. To get started, complete WellQor's Get Started form and a member of the front office team will reach out to confirm that Martha is the right fit and then help you get scheduled.

Message to clients

If you're reading this, you may be feeling stuck, worn down, or unsure of what comes next. I want you to know that wherever you're starting from, change is possible. I've believed that for more than twenty-five years, and I've watched it prove true again and again in the people I've worked with. You don't have to have it all figured out before we begin. You just have to be willing to start.

In our work together, you'll find me supportive and never judgmental. I'll pay close attention to what you actually need, because no two people are the same, and I don't believe in a one size fits all approach to something as personal as your growth and healing. My job is to understand you, meet you where you are, and help you move toward the life you want. On the days that feel heavy, I'll hold onto hope for you until you're able to hold onto it for yourself.

Here is what I can promise you. I'll do everything I can to meet your needs, I'll be there when you're at your worst and not only at your best, and I'll walk beside you, step by step. You don't have to make this journey alone, and I would be honored to make it with you.
